Momentum

Something I have noticed about writing at this kind of pace is that the amount of effort required for the same number of words each day varies considerably. Today, for instance, was a slow writing day. For whatever reason, inspiration was lacking and it took far longer with many more breaks to complete my needed word count.

I think starting a new chapter is more difficult, especially after all the kind feedback I have received on the first one, it makes me feel like I need to kick it up a notch.

The strange thing is, I expected days like today to be the norm and so far, they are the exception. On the whole, while still challenging, writing has been easier than I thought it would be.

Either way, I will continue and see where it takes me.
